The story of Worlds First 3D Bollywood Interview with Akshay Kumar

Rohit Jayakaran - Akshay Kumar Sonakshi Sinha and Prabhu Devi

There is a lot that you hear about 3D technology these days. All major Hollywood Movies are now released in 3D. Recently the film Titanic was re-released in 3D and a trip to the mall or an electronics retailer is incomplete without you walking past a range of 3D LED TV’s that promise you an experience you would never forget.  Let me be honest here though, personally I have never thought too much of the technology because there was really not much to watch on the 3D LED TV apart from some stock footage of some flowers and windmills in Europe. There is a lot that you hear about 3D technology these days. About a year ago I picked up a 3D camera and I did upload my very first 3D video, which I referred to as, “A Steaming Hot Video.” Before you start googling the video, be warned, it was a Pressure Cooker that was Steaming Hot.

Recently I got hold of a wonderful new 3D camera from Panasonic called the Panasonic Z-10000. This is a wonderful professional camera that shoots in 3D Full HD. This takes your 3D experience to a whole new level. Not only does the camera shoot in 3D, it also helps you look thought the viewfinder in 3D. I love this camera to bits.About a year ago I picked up a 3D camera and I did upload my very first 3D video, which I referred to as, “A Steaming Hot Video.” Before you start googling the video, be warned, it was a Pressure Cooker that was Steaming Hot.

So, I kind of figured that sooner or later if the world is planning on going 3D, we are gonna need more than just pretty flowers and windmills to watch on screen. In other word, a revolution is just sitting there waiting for someone to do something.

So Tia and I at City 1016, decided to shoot, “The World’s First 3D Bollywood Interview with Akshay Kumar, Sonakshi Sinha and Prabhudeva.” The stars were in Dubai to promote their new film – Rowdy Rathore and we had the opportunity to interview them on Drive Master GoGo on City 1016. That by the way is the show that Tia and I host every weekday evening from 5 to 9pm. The video was shot on the 17th of May and released worldwide on the 28th of May 2012. That’s a day you should remember. This video is now on Youtube and can be watched using a range of 3D Glasses and technologies. I must however remind you that the 3D glasses you swiped from the cinema theatre will not work with this video. I would recommend watching the video on a 3D LED TV or on your computer using the Cyan/Red glasses you have lying around the room. If you don’t have a pair of 3D glasses, you could just watch the film in Traditional 2D. The great thing about this video when watched on a 3D LED TV is the feeling you get that you are in the studio along with Akshay Kumar, Sonakshi Sinha and Prabhudeva. Check it out, the video below.
